The Spirit of Hong Kong Award is an annual campaign organized by the South China Morning Post (SCMP) and Sino Group to showcase the achievements of impact-makers who might otherwise go unnoticed.
Congratulations to Valerie Chiu from Form 3F who has been shortlisted as one of the 27 finalists in 9 categories.
Valerie, who is deeply passionate about addressing inequalities and committed to a better future, founded a youth-led organization called Teen Animals da Scientists two years ago. Her mission is to advocate for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through science and dialogue while building a network of young change-makers across the globe. Valerie is one of the three secondary schoolers shortlisted in the Spirit of Youth Award. The winner will be selected by a panel of judges.
Public voting is now in progress till 6 November 2024 to determine the readers’ favourite finalist. The winner will receive the Lion Rock People’s Choice Award.
