“Winter Dream”

Live on February 24, 26, 28 and March 1, 2

St. Mary’s has performed two productions of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, first in 1992 then again in 2010. Now in 2024, students are re-visiting the story to find out what happened after the end of Shakespeare’s play!

In “Winter Dream”, a musical play by Geoff Oliver, five HK students, in Greece on a study tour, somehow find themselves involved in events in “a wood near Athens” where it is about twenty years after the end of Shakespeare’s play. There is disharmony and conflict among some of the characters, and it is always winter and never spring. Can the students help put things right, or will they too be drawn into the chaos and confusion?

Come share their adventure and be inspired. The cast and production team look forward to seeing you at the show!
